Approach the right people
It may seem natural to talk to people about your ideas and try to convince them. However, it could be a real problem if you don’t have a plan detailing the goals and key stakeholders related to them. All sales departments understand the importance of having the right strategy and knowledge about the company you’re reaching out to. Time is key when managing any project, and you can’t afford to miss any deadlines due to a lack of access to key stakeholders. Thorough research and broad knowledge are thus really important at this stage; and the ability to approach the right people can be a competency with continuous enhancement.
