On the 28th of May EOLAS, in collaboration with INTROMAC organized an interactive event to present the SOCIA results and work together with potential social entrepreneurs and innovators on new projects and ventures.

The event started off with Manon van Leeuwen presenting the SOCIA results and deep dive into the Social Innovation Academy, scanning through the different contents, presenting platform and providing a sneak preview of the content of the SOCIA guides. Different examples of social entrepreneurship and social innovation from across the region of Extremadura and Spain where highlighted for inspiration.

The event continued with an interactive session, in which the participants worked in groups on an idea for a social enterprise or a social innovation project. They presented their ideas to the rest of the participants for feedback and fine-tuning. The format allowed to generate awareness about the opportunities social entrepreneurship and social innovation projects offer for entering the labour market, but also to solve many of the social and economic challenges the region of Extremadura is facing.
